Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the Market Department of VNAT, noted that, besides the subway ads, Vietnam will also have big poster hung at the Vietnamese consulate in Osaka.
Huong stated that a big budget has been allocated to promote
Vietnam tourism. Together with attending
famous annual tourism trade fairs, VNAT will also organize roadshows in three big cities of China, as well as Russia, Australia and Western Europe (the UK, France, Germany and Belgium). In 2010, travel firms will not have to pay to attend tourism trade fairs, while VNAT will cover expenses and assist travel firms to build booths at the trade fairs. Huong revealed that VNAT will invite for bids to choose enterprises that implement projects. This method has been carried out for tourism programs in Russia, China and Germany. The Government has agreed to spend 40 billion dong to promote tourism and 31 billion dong on the national tourism action program. According to VNAT, the sum of money, besides the aforementioned programs, will be used to advertise Vietnam on television or to organize competitions for a new slogan and logo for Vietnam’s tourism in the development period of 2011-2015,
