A new terminal was put into use at the Lien Khuong Airport in the
Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on December 26.
The terminal with a 3, 254m long and 45m wide runway will enable the Lien Khuong Airport to serve international flights
to northeast and other Southeast Asian nations in 2010. The 12, 400m² terminal built at a cost of VND 300 billion is now capable of receiving 1.5-2 million passengers per year.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai highlighted the Southern Airports Corporation (SAC)’s efforts to design and build the terminal,
travel Vietnam.
He asked the SAC to effectively manage and make full use of the airport to serve trade exchange and socio-cultural and economic development of Lam Dong Province in particular and the Central Highlands in general.
