Vietnam Airlines resumes HCM City - Nagoya service
Vietnam Airlines re-launched its direct flights between Hochiminh City and Japan’s Nagoya Friday, after a halt of more than two years and a half due to global economic downturn.
The national flag carrier operates two weekly flights on Mondays and Friday, using Airbus 321.
With this re-launching, the corporation expands its Japan network to eight routes connecting Vietnam’s
Hanoi and
Ho
Chi Minh city with four major cities in Japan namely Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, with 45 flights weekly in all.
Vietnam Airlines first started the HCM City - Nagoya service in July 2005 and stopped it in December 2007 because of lower-than-expected performance.
