Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta tour home stay in Vinh Long (L,D)
Depart at 8:30am from Saigon to Vinh Long. The program will
start with a visit of Vinh Long market in the town where you can have photos
fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits,
vegetable...After that, our private boat will take you to the brick kilns;
you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then,
we visit nursery garden and communicate with Mr. Tiger & his son who are
successful farmers in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy fruits from his
garden & homemade rice wine when listening to the traditional music. The
rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on canals. During
journey, you will enjoy the peaceful scenery and traditional houses made of
wood and palm tree leaves as well as daily lives of the local. If wishing,
bike is available for short ride on village paths. The boat will take us to
enthusiastic homestay. Check in, make friend with members of the family.
Rest of the day, we can walk around, do cooking for your diner. Tonight,
it’s chance to know more about the culture, people and history of this
Island.

Day 2: Mekong floating market (B,L)
Early breakfast, say goodbye to our host and enjoy the boat
trip to Cai Be floating market. An optional stop at local workshops where
you can see how rice paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn are made.
It is so interesting to visit the handicraft village where you can see how
they make some special products: making rice-net for spring-rolls, fish
sauce & soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage proof...
The cruise will end at around 10:30 in Cai Be town where the waiting vehicle
transfers us back to Saigon. Lunch on the way at a local restaurant.
Reach Saigon center approximately at 3 or 4 pm.
