French food special at Hotel Continental Saigon


The Hotel Continental Saigon has a special half-price promotion on French dishes at its La Fayette Restaurant.

The promotion runs until November 30, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. group bookings will receive a free glass of champagne and dessert.

The hotel serves Western food including French, Italian and Hungarian and also a selection of Vietnamese dishes.

While enjoying the food and the view of Ho Chi Minh city Opera House, be entertained by live piano and violin.

The restaurant holds weekend buffets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings with more than 30 Western dishes. Tickets are VND300, 000 per person, Vietnam travel.

Many famous people have stayed at the French colonial-style hotel since it was built in 1880, including Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore who won the Nobel Prize in 1913, French writer Andre Malreaux, English author Graham Greene who wrote “The Quiet American”, French President Jacques Chirac and actress Catherine Deneuve.

The four-star hotel at 132-134 Dong Khoi Street has 83 bedrooms, three lobbies for parties, conferences and events, a European restaurant, a conference hall, bar, massage and shopping mall.

The Hotel Continental Saigon has been awarded the ASEAN Green Hotel Standard award and Labor Medal of Third Ranking.
